Conversion of the Grade II listed Newcastle Electric Tramways Generating Station (built 1900) into a church centre, for City Church Newcastle. There will be a 1000 seater auditorium, smaller halls and meeting rooms. Phase one included renovation of a five storey listed office building into offices and meeting rooms for the church and other users. A second phase comprised a temporary meeting space in the old turbine hall. Preliminary work for subsequent phases is currently under way.
